First image is a 120 second exposure of Hale Bopp through a Blue Filter has been processed to show detail in both the coma and the tail. Exposure started at 05:08:13 EST. Exposure made using a Kodak Aero Ektar lens, pluss ST8 CCD in medium resolution mode. Field of view is approximately 3 degrees square.
Second image is a 60 second exposure made using a 12 inch Maksutov telescope, blue filter and SBIG ST8 CCD. Exposure started at 05:30:33 It has been flat fielded and dark subtracted. The CCD was working in medium resolution mode. Field of view approximately 0.3 degrees by 0.2 degrees
The third image is a false colour version of the second image.
