First image is a wide field view of Hale Bopp taken using an Aero Ektar lens. Exposure started at 19:52:59 EST (=00:52 ut). Exposure 3 minutes, taken through a Lumicon Swann Band filter, and has been false coloured using Mira.
Second image is a 60 second image of Hale Bopp taken through a blue filter. Image obtained using a 12 inch f5 Maksutov telescope, with SBIG ST8 CCD. Exposure started at 19:34:38 EST (=00:34:38 ut)
A rotational gradient filter (10 degree rotaion, amplification 4) has been applied to the 60 second exposure of the Comet shown in the last image.
