43 separate 30 second images of Hale Bopp have been flat fielded and combined to create this image. The image was obtained using a 12 inch f5 Maksutov, using a red filter. Field of view is approximately 0.3 degrees by 0.2 degrees. First image started at 05:29 EST, with exposures taken at one minute intervals. Stars look trailed in this image, since it was effectively guided on the comet's motion
