Griffin Images of Comet Hale-Bopp

First image is a 300 second exposure of comet Hale Bopp taken using a 12 inch Maksutov telescope, working at f5. Image was taken through a Lumicon Swann Band filter.. The original grey scale image has been coloured to show detail. Image taken at 06:05:47 EST. Image obtained using an SBIG ST8 camera, working in medium resolution mode (18 micron pixels). Field of view is approximately 0.3 degree (long RA axis) by 0,2 degrees (short declination axis). Second image is a grey scale version of the above image.

Third image is a false coloured version of a 30 second exposure of comet Hale Bopp, taken through a Lumicon Swann Band filter using the same instrumental set up as the previous greyscale picture. Image obtained at 04:50:42 EST.
