First image is a 120 second exposure of comet Hale Bopp taken with a wide angle Aero Ektar Lens, at 05:54:42 EST on Tuesday 26th February. Image taken through a red wrattan filter. Exposure 120 seconds.
Second image is a 300 second exposure of Hale Bopp through a 12 inch f5 Maksutov telescope, taken using a wratten 25 red filter. Image obtained at 05:20 EST. Image has had a dark frame subtracted, been flat fielded, and then gamma and contrast scaled. A false colour pallate has then been applied.
Third image is a false colour verseion of the second image.
