Comet Hale Bopp - Tail Structure Improving

100 Sec. CCD photo - Nov 08 1996 - the Astronomy Class. Vertical Image Size: 1200 Arcsec. The color picture has logarithmic stretch in order to enhance jet structures - pseudo colors.

This comet still looks promising - and has been observed by groups on both EUC Syd and AGS. Several tailstructures were faintly visible already in August - but now there is no doubt.
