Haute-Provence Observatory Comet Hale-Bopp Animations

We report the appearance of rapid changing shell-shape structure in coma of Hale-Bopp from a sequence of seven CCD images obtained with the 0.8 m Haute-Provence Observatory telescope, France. You can see several processed CCD images and two spectacular animations showing the expansion of shells and the appearence of a new little shell near the nucleus. Images taken from January 30, 1997 to Feburary 9, 1997.
