Comet Hale-Bopp by Yvan Bourassa and Dominique Beauchamp from MaestroniX inc. at Observatoire Alphonse-Tardif, St-Neree, Quebec. The image was taken on February 11, 1997 at 9:15 UT on PPF ISO 400 using a Schmidt camera (150mm, f/1.5) guided with a C-14. Exposure time was 12 minutes. We can see the bright Dumbbell nebula right of the center. The ion tail is blue and straight while the dust tail is white and curled. A green bow is visible on the front of the comet.
