This image of Hale Bopp was taken 3/3/97. A Takahashi FC 65 500 mm Flourite Refractor was used. Exposures were 60 sec Red, 60sec Green and 120sec Blue through True Technology Dichroic TriColor filters. Superfix Image Processing and Tricolor Software was used. There were high thin clouds during the blue exposure. I estimate Hale-Bopp is about mag 0.5 to 0.8. I live at latitude 42.7 degrees North. Hale Bopp should be visible in both am and pm skies this week.
