This latest photograph of Comet Hale-Bopp was taken by myself this morning, March 6, 1997 at 1145 utc. I used my 18 inch newtonian to piggy back a Pentax 67 camera with a standard lens with 2x teleconverter. This image was 10 minutes long and the film was Kodak T-MAX 400. From my location, 10 miles east of Cheyenne, the comet was the brightest object in the eastern sky and the tail was at least 20 degrees in length.
