False-color image of comet Hale-Bopp, obtained in the light of
singly-ionized water ions. It was taken in moonlight conditions on 1996 Nov.
19.708UT (start) with the 36-cm, f/6.8 S-C telescope, H2O+ filter and Wright
CCD. Exposure time was 1 minute. The frame field of view is 16.7x10.9 arc
min. Several prominent streamers are visible.
