This was taken at an elevation of 6000 feet in the Great Smoky Mountain National Park. The lights in the foreground are from Knoxville, TN which is about thirty miles from the camera site. Nikon F3, 50mm f/1.4 @ f/2.0 for 20 seconds with Kodak Ektachrome film rated at 3200 asa. A very rare clear night in mountains famous for clouds and haze.
