Observer: Nicholas DelRaso
Location: Wright-Patterson AFB, Dayton, Ohio
Date: April 15, 1997
Image was taken using a Rico 35 mm camera with a 200X Zoom lens mounted on a tripod. Black and White Kodak 400 Pan X film was used. Exposure was ~40 sec at f/3.5. The two hangers of the USAF museum (the oldest and largest military aviation museum in the world) can be seen in the lower left-hand corner of the image. The waning "fly-by" of the comet can be seen in the upper-middle of the image as it helps to commemorate the 50th birthday of the USAF this year.
