Image of the comet Hale Bopp taken on February 8 with a Takahashi 102 mm f/6, exp. 8', and Kodak Express Gold 400 II hyper. from Col Drusci\150 Observatory (Cortina d'Ampezzo, Italy) 1780 mt. The authors are Alessandro Dimai and Davide Ghirardo. The comet was of magnitude 1.5 with an ion tail of ~5 degrees naked eye visible and a diffuse dust tail of ~2 deg.
