Drawing of Hale-Bopp done this morning at the telescope from my front yard in Austin, TX, March 6, 1200-1215 UT. The drawing shows the brightest parts of the inner coma region. It covers a region about 8 to 15 arc minutes across. Observations were done with a 6 inch f/8 Orion Dobsonian with 10mm Ploessl eyepiece. The view is as on the sky, not in the telescope.
