Images of the comet 1996B2 taken at 96 march 16.17 UT. It is a mosaic of two images of 30 sec. (NUCLEUS) and four images of 30 sec. (tail) with newton 0,5 m of the Col Druscie Observatory (Cortina d'Ampezzo - Italy) and CCD Hi Sis 22; authors: Piergiorgio Cusinato, Alessandro Dimai, Davide Ghirardo and Giuseppe Menardi. The magnitude of the comet was 3,5. The comet was a beautiful naked eye object north of Alpha Librae. The second image is an enlargement of the nuclear region; it's visible the plasma tail.
