First Drawing: My "artist's conception" from sketch on March 17, 1996, 12:45 am. Naked Eye view, Sly Park, Ca. - naked eye limiting Magnitude= 6.0. Averted vision was required for extended tail length.

Second Drawing: My "artist's conception" from sketch on March 17, 1996, 1:55 am. Drawn using 7x35 Binoculars 9.3 deg field (tail extended at least 1/2 the field), Sly Park, Ca. - naked eye limiting Magnitude= 6.0. The tail was visible at least 5 degrees long!

Third Drawing: My "artist's conception" from sketch on March 17, 1996, 2:15 am. Drawn using 4" Telvue Genesis 32mm eyepiece (tail extended through the field), Sly Park, Ca. - naked eye limiting Magnitude= 6.0. Stunning view!!
