Comet Hyakutake (1996 B2) taken 03/02/96 between 5:21 and 5:40 CET (RGB color image at left) and at 4:28:49 CET (right) with a 5 minute exposure of an ST 5 that was attached to a 7 inch Strafire refractor. The color image was exposed blue with 10 minutes, green with 4 and red with 2. Both images taken with focal length of 690 mm. The black and white image is log. scaled to match visual appearance of the comet and its nucleus region. Note its (still nice slow) movement in the color image (trailing star colors).
