Observer: Brian Halbrook
Location: Michigan
Date: April 9, 1996

Comet amongst the Clusters. First image was shot Tuesday night, April 9, with an 85mm f2 lens and a 3 minute exposure. AgfaColor 1000 film.

What a glorious comet this was! My observing partner, Mike Beauchamp, gets two eyefuls of Comet Tuesday night, April 9. Mike was exposed by pointing a flash at him and firing it off at f/8. Then I placed my hand in front of the lens and carefully changed the settings to f2.8 and infinity focus.

Mike had to continue to stand like a statue for another 3 minutes as the comet was exposed. That's kind of tough when it's about 10 degrees F!

What a trooper! Thanks Mike!

AgfaColor 1000 film.
