Comet C/1996 B2 (Hyakutake) at 10:09 UT, March 20, 1996. North is up, east is left, and the field of view is about 1 degree square. This false-color image is a composite of six 10-s exposures with a Photometrics CCD camera (Thomson 512 CCD) mounted on a 4-inch f/10 Meade Schmidt-Cassegrain telescope with a 2x focal reducer. The 4-inch telescope is attached to the 0.4-m telescope at Limber Observatory and is normally used as a finder scope.
