Complex Structure of the CN Emission in the Coma of Comet Hyakutake
We detected a complex structure of the CN emission in the Coma
of Comet Hyakutake on March 26 16.5 UT. We used a LN2-cooled
CCD camera (AstroCam) equipped with the Cassegrain focus of the
1.05-m reflector at Misato Observatory. We think that this structure
was emitted by a fragment of the nucleus. Similar structure of the
C2 emission was detected by Colas et al* at Pic du Midi.
