Comet Hyakutake Fragments

Francois Colas from the Pic du Midi Observatory in France reports that a small fragment from the nucleus of Comet Hyakutake was observed in the dust tail of the comet in images taken on March 24 and 25. He estimates that the ejection speed of the fragment is about 12 meters/second, and the fragment is a 11th magnitude object. The images showing the fragment are shown below.
