Hyakutake images made by Peter Stättmayer

These images of the comet are made by Peter Staettmayer, director of the Public Observatory Munich, in his private observatory in Herrsching at the Ammersee, some 30 km southwest of Munich.

The close-up image of the coma has been taken on March 20, 1996 at 01:00 UT with a focal length of 76 cm (30") and an aperture of 20 cm (8").

The wide-field image has been made simultaneously with a smaller telescope (focal length 180 mm / 7.5").
