A 105-cm reflector detected a close-up R-band image of Comet Hale-Bopp on Jan. 16 20h 59m UT. We used a LN2-cooled CCD camera (AstroCam) equipped with the Cassegrain focus of the 1.05-m reflector (F7.6) at Misato Observatory.
