The images were taken on the night of April 17, 1997, between 8:30 PM and 9:30 PM MDT. There was about a 1/2 moon illuminating the badlands landscape. The locations of all 4 images are approx. LAT 41 07 20 N and LONG 107 39 15 W; 6 miles north of Baggs, Wyoming, along Highway 789.
First three images were taken using Kodak B/W Tri-X 400 speed 35 mm film; and an exposure time of 15-20 seconds. Fourth image was taken using Kodak Gold 1000 speed 35 mm film; and an exposure time of 10 seconds.
