Attached is unique image of the "cometary hoods" of Comet Hale-Bopp. It was taken with our 20" Richey-Chretien, the neagative was then heavily processed photographically to bring out the detail in the hoods, the resulting print was then scanned with a flat-bed scanner and processed again digitally.

I have not yet seen any images of the cometary "hoods" on the internet, and we hope you and your readers will find the attached image of interest....
