Image 1: I managed to accurately polar align my mount such that the comet spent an additional ten minutes placed behind the neighbor's air conditioner after emerging from behind their roof! This image was made with a 28mm lens on an ST-7. The exposure was 30 seconds at f/2.8.
Image 2: Cropped image taken with a 13-inch f/4.5 Newtonian. Exposed for 1.0 sec. Much adjusting of histogram was done to reveal ripple structure. Even 0.25 second exposure had some saturated 9-micron pixels at core.
