On March 23, the Saguaro Astronomy Club (Phoenix, AZ) successfully backed up traffic for one mile in either direction from the entrance to Thunderbird Park by hosting a public star party. The first image is a view from a small hillside just south of the telescope field. It was a 12 second exposure on Kodak Gold 400 with a 55mm f/1.2 lens at f/2.8.
Closer in, we see Rich Walker (hands in pockets) and his 13-inch Newtonian tracking on the eclipsed Moon. 28mm lens again with the standard exposure of 25 seconds.
