First image: Comet Hale-Bopp over Farol da Barra beach, with Santo Antonio da Barra fort and lighthouse at left. Much of the light-pollution in the picture is due to car's headlights than to the city itself. Image acquired using 50mm lenses and Konica SR-G 3200.
Second image: Same as above, with coconut palms in the foreground.
Third image: Comet Hale-Bopp sets over buildings in Barra district. Interesting is that the comet could not be seen naked eye while I took this picture. Note that these photos were taken from a city with a population of 2 million, plagued by light-pollution. 205mm lenses and Fujicolor Super HG 1600.
