Where do all the comets go?
I can't take credit for the idea. I saw a photo of Hyakutake being consumed last year by some imaginative idividual and wanted one of my own. Dr. Whipple was right -- they do taste like dirty snowballs (isn't that what he said?). Someone else can have the next comet, just hope it isn't as filling as this one was! Do you really want photographic details? OK...taken on March 28th 9:00pm (4:00 ut 3/29) from observing site off of Table Mesa Road (30 mi N of Phoenix, Az). Fuji Super G 800 for 45 seconds using 52mm lens at f2.8. Foreground lighting provided by red flashlights (son Ryan and daughter Brittany). Photo taken by my wife, Jannet (to humor me, of course).
