People around the world have been roaming the countryside looking for scenic photos of Hale-Bopp, but some of the best shots may be right outside their backdoor. This one is outside mine - small-town America - West 5th Street in Pierre, South Dakota. This photo was taken May 7 at 10:10 CAT, a 25-second exposure at f 2.8 on Kodak Royal Gold 400 film.
