This shot features Hale-Bopp over one of the rolling hills in the Missouri River breaks near Pierre, South Dakota. (Anyone remember the movie "Dances With Wolves?") The sky is polluted by the city lights, but the comet still leaves quite an impression. This was taken at 10:45 CST on April 2, using a 45-second exposure at f 4.0.on Kodak 400 Gold film.
