Hale-Bopp over South Dakota's most beautiful building - the State Capitol in Pierre - taken April 15 at 9:55 CDT. This was a difficult image to capture because of the bright lights on the dome. The photo was taken on Kodak Royal Gold 1000 film, using a 25-second exposure at f 2.0, with the photographer's hand covering the bottom half of the lens for all but the final second of the exposure.
