1. This picture was taken using ASA 400 film, a 15 second exposure (approx) and a 50mm lens. The picture was taken on Monday the 7th of April in the Dallin School playground (in Arlington, MA) at approximately 9:30pm. I carefully arranged the camera tripod so that the overhanging branches would appear to be reaching for the comet. The evening was relatively clear and there was no moon although it was quite breezy (sigh).
2. Taken the same evening as the previous picture (around the same time), I carefully walked the tripod to the middle of the playground so as to show the neighboring houses and give the comet-image some real-world perspective.
