Here's a panel of five small photos I put together. These are some of the "sidebars" done during the main comet photography sessions last weekend during the full moon nights.
The little tall photo in the lower right corner is sorta cool...a small cloud drifted over in front of Hale-Bopp , and for a moment there it looked like the comet had gone on afterburners...
For data on these new images, just quote the old Minor White axiom he delivered to his Zone System photography students when they asked "what settings did you use to get the picture ? " He always responded " the camera was faithfully used..."
[ Actually they're just time exposures from a tripod on 400 speed print film using 24-35-and 55mm Nikkor lenses on my old mechanical Nikon F2 camera...the workhorse. ]
