I took these pictures in Weston, WV on my way to South Carolina for Spring Break. I am from Buffalo New York though. When my parents and I were driving on Route 77 I asked them to exit so I could take some shots. I was lucky that the skies were clear, my parents were in a good mood, and that I had all my camera equitment in the car. When we exited I noticed we were in the middle of nowhere. I am 14 tears old and these are my first pictures of a comet and I hope there will be more in the future.
I took these pictures with an Olympus OM2s camera on 2 different lenses. The top picture was taken with a Zuiko 200mm f/4 lens at f/4, for 30 secs on Fuji SuperG 400 film at 8:35 p.m. EST on April 8 1997. The bottom picture was taken with a Zuiko 50mm f/1.8 at f/1.8, for 30 secs on Fuji SuperG 400 film at 8:35 p.m. EST on April 8 1997.
