Jupiter's Atmosphere in the 404 nm Filter of the Galileo Imaging System

Jupiter's atmosphere in the 404 nm filter of the Galileo imaging system. The image is centered at planetographic latitude - 15 and west longitude 319, and is the north central part of a six-frame mosaic of the Great Red Spot. Each pixel subtends a square 35.6 km on a side. North is at the top. The universal time is 4 hours, 18 minutes, 23 seconds on June 26, 1996. The range is 1.76 million kilometers.

The Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, CA manages the mission for NASA's Office of Space Science, Washington, DC.
