Resources for Elementary and Middle-School Children.

JPL's Space Place Web Site is geared towards 8 to 10-year-olds and has several ideas for activities:

Visit the United Stated Geological Survey's education website, which includes information on mapping and satellite observations of Earth: http://education.usgs.gov/

Learn About Radar

Visit the SIR-C Virtual Classroom for information about the Shuttle Imaging Radar-C (SIR-C), a radar that flew onboard the space shuttle to gather information about Earth's environment. The site includes information on how to get CD-ROMs, slide sets, and videos of SIR-C imagery.
