JPL K/Ka Band ACTS Mobile Terminal Mounted in HUMVEE/Shelter

With links to a NASA Advanced Communications Technology Satellite (ACTS), this vehicular communications terminal employs a mechanically-steered antenna, and can support digital and analog transmissions. It uses a High Mobility Multi-purpose Wheeled Vehicle (HMMWV), as it provides a compact, low-cost means of providing secure voice and data messages to an army on the move.
