The first image was taken at 7:40 PM on 4/2/97 using a Nikon F3 with a 105mm f2.5 Nikkor lens. Exposure was 15 seconds at f/2.5. Film was Fujicolor 1600 pushed one stop. Negative was scanned into a Mac in Adobe Photoshop and reversed then enhanced a bit and saved as a JPEG file.

The second image was taken at 7:50 PM on 4/2/97 using a Nikon F3 with a 105mm f2.5 Nikkor lens. Exposure was 25 seconds at f/2.5. Film was Agfachrome 1000 pushed one stop. Slide was scanned into Adobe Photoshop and enhanced to bring out the ion tail.

This session was designed to see if I could get the ion tail with relatively short exposures using fast film. Also to find out if print film or slide film seemed to work better. I still have to get the negatives printed and scan those in to make a fair comparison.
