Location: Red Rock State Park, California
Date: March 26, 1997
500mm lens at f/5 for 12 minutes. This shot was taken through a Genesis 4" refractor, while being guided on the comet by the C-11. It was taken on Fuji G-800 film that was pushed one stop. Note the numerous strings and jets coming of the inner ion tail structure. In contrast, the dust tail seems to have lost all the fine linear structures we saw in early March 1997.
