The first picture was taken on the 6th of April 97 (05:30 UT) by Francois St-Pierre (Quebec, Canada) with a Pentax camera (100mm lens) containing a 800 ASA Fuji film. The camera was piggy-backed on a 25=22 telescope during 15 minutes. Please note the double cluster in Perseus at the top right and M34 at the left of the picture.

The second picture was taken o= with a Pentax camera (26mm lens) containing a 800 ASA Fuji film. The camera was piggy-backed on a 25=22 telescope during 14 minutes. Please note the Pleides (left), California nebula (center-left), M34 (near the comet), the Perseus cluster (above the comet), the double cluster in Perseus (between the ion and the dust tail) and a falling star (above the comet).
