Willis/Kendall Image of Comet Hale-Bopp

Observers: George Willis, Mike Kendall
Location: Little Tujunga Canyon, Angeles National Forest, California
Date: March 10, 1997 12:00 UT

Observers: George Willis, Mike Kendall, and several lions, bears, chimps, llamas, and other assorted animals. The photo was taken on the morning of March 10th, at 04:00, PST, from a hilltop above the Wildlife Waystation, in Little Tujunga Canyon, in the Angeles National Forest. The animals were just below us, and could either hear us, or smell us, because the lions were roaring, the chimps were screaming, and the bears were bellowing. If they looked in our general direction, the animals would see Hale-Bopp, hanging prominently in the sky. Hmmmm... maybe that is what they were screaming and roaring about....
