Location: Yamato Mountains, Antarctica
Fell: 1979
Type: Shergottite (SNC)

This meteorite was recovered by the Japanese near the Yamato Mountains in Antarctica. However, it wasn't until September 1995 that the Japanese geochemists identified Yamato 793605 as a Mars meteorite.
